Roblox 103: Advanced Game Design & Play
Please review the prerequisites below to make sure your student will have the basic knowledge to participate fully in the class. This is an Advanced level course.
Learn to 3D model like the pros. Create castles with sleeping dragons, monster truck arenas, a zoo for dinosaurs, or entire planets – there is no limits with Roblox’s Studio.
In this advanced level class, students will be using real tools and techniques that professionals use to develop games, learn self-direction, storytelling, and coding. Students will play various Roblox games and visit different Roblox worlds to find inspiration for their own games and designs. With our instructors to show the way, playing, creating and designing has never been more fun.

Prerequisites:
Review the following skills with your student before enrolling. These skills will not be covered during this class but lessons and activities will rely on students knowing these skills.
- 4 Basic Tools (select, move, scale, rotate)
- Understanding the explorer and properties panel
- Know how Anchor, Collisions, Group, Lock, and Snap to Grid work
- Solid Modeling (Negate tool and Union Tool)
- Understanding basic use of a script
- Have a thorough knowledge of the explorer panel
- Know what variables do and how they are written
- Know how to use/create GUI’s
- How click detectors work

*Roblox 101 Beginner Game Design & Roblox 102: Intermediate Game Design is not required to participate in this class as long as your student know the above material.
Roblox Studio will NOT operate on Tablets, Mobile Devices, or Chromebooks.
Requires a desktop or laptop strong enough to run Roblox Studio.

- RAM: 1 GB
- Windows 7, 8/8.1, or 10 (Mac client will install on 10.7 (Lion) and higher)
- Video Card: DirectX 9
- Disk Space: 50MB
