Join DM James in a great opportunity to have your student discover who they really are and what they can accomplish. The world of Pokémon gives children the opportunity to use leadership skills to harness the power of creatures faster than cars, can cause the weather to change in an instant, and can shoot a flamethrower out of their mouth. Students will develop leadership skills through creating plans, delegating tasks, and being responsible for the entire team.
This is a good entry point for new players, or experienced players who want to catch them all.
This class will use the Roll20 platform. Further instructions on how to make an account and join the campaign will be provided in a confirmation email after you sign-up.
Space is Limited. If class is full, please make sure to join the wait list so that we know that there is interest in adding more classes.
“Pokémon Adventures” uses Pokérole 2.0, a tabletop role-playing game. Students take the role of Pokémon trainers and interact in a shared, imagined world. Our instructors act as the “Game Master” who facilitates the game by being the one in charge of creating and managing the world, non-player characters, and other things the student’s characters interact with, like Pokémon. When something is about to happen in the story, students roll dice to see if the action is successful or unsuccessful. Through imagination, planning, and a little bit of luck, a magical story comes to life with the students as the main character!
Reminder! Class information PDFs (including Zoom links) will be available on your confirmation page after successfully registering for classes. These can be downloaded from the confirmation page and saved for later. They are also located in your confirmation email. If you lose access to the PDFs please email info@asepsocal.org as soon as possible. Double check that emails from the domain @asepsocal.org are not being blocked or going to your junk folder.
