Step 1:Create an account on LICHESS.ORG. Username should be easily remembered and shareable. We recommend not using a students real name as the username as this username will be public to anyone on the website.

If your student does not have an account they will not be able to fully participate in the class.

Step 2: Join our team on Lichess. Click the green JOIN TEAM button to join.

Step 3: Review our CODE OF CONDUCT with your student and prepare any additional materials that may be listed on the class info page.

Class is much better when students are able to participate fully with a camera and microphone. Class participation is possible without a camera and/or microphone, but student experience will be limited. We recommend students use a desktop or laptop computer when possible for the best virtual class experience. Internet access is necessary to participate in class.

Everyone's favorite after-school program is now their favorite virtual class! Each Chess Masters class includes skill relevant lessons, match play between students, and instructor feedback on games. Every participant in our Chess Masters Virtual classes gains access to our exclusive ASEP SoCal Chess Club and is invited to compete in regularly hosted Chess Tournaments that match our chess students with other chess students from around the globe. There has never been a better time to learn and play chess!

Since COVID-19 we have to thank ASEP for being here for us when my son lost all sense of normalcy. I was thrilled that ASEP moved their classes remotely right away to help kids with this tremendous transition in their lives. I don't know where we would be without that personal connection with your amazing teachers and moments my son has had connecting with other kids during this time. Thanks so much for all you do for our kids! :)
