Roblox at Night: Beginner Game Design
Take the first steps to making your own video game with this beginner level Roblox Game Design class.
This class is recommended for students new to using Roblox Studio.
In this class, students will be using real tools and techniques that professionals use to develop games, learn self-direction, storytelling, and coding. With our instructors to show the way, creating and designing has never been more fun.

Students will learn the necessary skills to join Roblox 102 – Intermediate Game Design & Play.
- 4 Basic Tools (select, move, scale, rotate)
- Understanding the explorer and properties panel
- Know how Anchor, Collisions, Group, Lock, and Snap to Grid work
- Solid Modeling (Negate tool and Union Tool)
If you student already knows how to do all of the above we recommend joining Roblox 102: Intermediate Game Design & Play.
Students are welcomed to repeat this class to refresh their skills or until they feel comfortable moving up to 102.
Roblox Studio will NOT operate on Tablets, Mobile Devices, or Chromebooks.
Requires a desktop or laptop strong enough to run Roblox Studio.

- Most CPU’s that were purchased after 2005 and have at least 1.6 GHz
- RAM: 1 GB
- Windows 7, 8/8.1, or 10 (Mac client will install on 10.7 (Lion) and higher)
- Video Card: DirectX 9
- Disk Space: 50MB
